The Shenandoah Fireplace Mantel from Pearl Mantels (model 412) is the best selling shelf on our site. I has a rustic look with the appearance of a rough-hewn timber beam and distressed surface. It is manufactured from pine to look like a solid timber mantel but without the weight and other issues of a solid log. It can be installed with or without the included corbels. Select from Distressed Medium Oak, Cherry Distressed finish or chose an unfinished mantel shelf. The unfinished Shenandoah mantel can be painted or stained to match any decorating style.. Suggested Preparation Before Painting or Staining The Pearl Mantels Shenandoah Mantel Shelf - No. 412

Before applying paint or stain to your wood mantel, we suggest that you lightly sand your Pearl Mantel or shelf followed by wiping it down with a tack cloth. When painting, we suggest using 2 coats of a stain blocking primer such as Zinsser®, Kilz® or similar product. Follow the instructions on the can. For staining, please follow the manufacturer's instructions.
